Duke is a rather handsome old waggon from the 1940's - in his previous life he was home to a family of travelling showmen.
There are no big signs to shout at you from the road - to all intents and purposes, just another wooden farm gate and farmer's field.
Simply tucked away from view, your very own piece of Cornwall.

Lounge

Wide wooden steps lead up to the original half glazed stable door:  living area with toffee coloured french enamel woodburner. 
[specifically designed for toasting toes after a long ramble across Dartmoor]
Comfortable leather tub chairs for two, original chest of drawers and writing bureau with dainty china cabinet over  -  torch, lighter, playing cards, games, local information.   Delve into the lovely countryside books or have another game of cards  -  loser makes the tea! Wicker hamper and contents plus a rug - for picnics or star gazing.
Pitch pine flooring throughout the waggon  -  lovely for bare feet and easy to clean!

Bathroom

......located just a few steps away from Duke is his own large private detached bathroom comprising:
large and modern, ceramic based, tiled shower, real flushing loo and basin, heated towel rail, wall heater. Soap and loo roll provided.

Note:  please bring your own towels.

Kitchen

Fully equipped kitchen area with full sized gas cooker and fridge. Ample tea towels, dishcloths, scourers, bin liners and cleaning materials
all provided. There should be everything you will need - down to a corkscrew.

Parking

Drive in through the double wooden gates on arrival and park your car.   [plenty of room]
From here is on foot to Duke  -  a short and level walk.
A trusty old wheelbarrow is poised to carry your suitcases and supplies should you need a little help!   Follow the narrow, winding path
around the Scots pine, through Duke's quiet meadow and to your door.

Bedroom

Small built-in double bed [4' x 5'9"] - with good quality modern sprung mattress - cosy and snuggly!
Duvet and pillows provided plus spare blankets.
Fitted wardrobe, overhead locker, underbed drawers, wall cupboard and chest of drawers.
Hot water bottles for those cooler evenings.

Welcome

On arrival, the woodburner will be laid for you and ready to light. On cooler evenings, the toasting fork may well become your new best friend - crumpets and marmite - scrummy!

First basket of logs is free - thereafter £5 per basket - honesty pot in the kitchen.

Have a cup of tea on us - milk in fridge, tea tray set. Prepare to unwind.

You will discover a bottle of wine and some Cornish biscuits on the side - enjoy!

A vase of fresh flowers completes the scene: whatever looks good from our own garden or hedgerow at the time.

Outside

Duke sits proudly on his own patch of wildflower meadow just over one-fifth acre, enjoying views over the beautiful Cornish countryside.
Bounded by mixed native hedgerow and farmland, he overlooks his own fire pit - waiting for you to toast marshmallows and enjoy the clear
night sky.
