Cowslip Workshops

If you like quilting, crafts or are a hoarder of material like me I suggest a trip to Cowslip Workshops. You will find it not far from here, near Launceston down a quiet farm lane. To be honest I never would have expected to find it there, a little shop packed full to the rafters with, I would go so far as to say, some of the best selection of quilting and craft fabrics in Cornwall!

Not only is there a great shop they run a fantastic selection of workshops covering loads of different things from machine embroidery to furniture painting and quilting. Take a look at there website it’s really good and you can see all the up and coming workshops here.

Even if you don’t like sewing or you don’t fancy a workshop its also worth a visit for the excellent cafe. Behind the shop and through a lovely little kitchen garden which includes a grass roofed shed (one of my favourite things) there is a cafe/restaurant. The walls are adorned with quilts and textile art and the food is home cooked and delicious with a great choice of tasty salads, sandwiches and quiches. We went the other day and I had a Cowslip salad selection with cheese and Mum had Homity pie, both were lovely. There us also a really wonderful selection of cakes so it’s well worth a visit!
